It is one of the most emblematic spaces of the Catalan capital. This square was built
during the International Exhibition of 1929, according to a project drawn up by Josep
Puig i Cadafalch and Guillem Busquets and completed by Antoni Darder, it is the second biggest square in Spain. It features a former bull fighting stadium that now has been converted to a shopping mall, on the other side of the square you can find the magic fountain that periodically offers a show with water, lights, and music. The square is also facing the mountain of Montjuic, with great views of the city and the Museum of national history of Catalonia.
